Roadtrip Rocky Mountains

Last weeks I did a roadtrip with my dad in the Rockies :) We went to many National Parks like Banff, Jasper, Kootenay, Glacier, etc. We also saw a lot of wildlife (grizzly’s and black bears, elks, mountain goats, and lots more). We celebrated Canada Day in Banff with old friends of my dad, met with Julia from Galiano Island in Jasper and lunched with the old internship provider of my dad in Vancouver. Furthermore, we went to a few museums and on the longest and fastest Zipline of North-America!! It was so cool!! Last two days we spent in Vancouver. I’m really glad I could go on this trip: it was a great end of my journey!

Louis’s house

I spend a night at Louis’s house, a friend of Lili's dad. He build it himself, and it was so beautiful that I though I should share some pictures :)

Photos of Mayne- & Saltspring Island

I went one day to Mayne, and spend a night at Saltspring for Lili’s graduation.

Pictures of the house and garden on Galiano Island. I’m staying here for almost four weeks.

Photos of Sayward

I’ve been in Sayward for two nights, which was a way too short!! I loved this northern area of Vancouver Island and I hope to come back one day :) On the way back to Sidney, we stopped at a few nice places, like a waterfall and a cute village.

Photos of Vancouver

I’ve spend a night in Vancouver twice (once when I arrived with the plane and once when I had to pickup some kittens for Sue.) I will spend time in Vancouver a few nights more: I’ll stay in a hostel and will visit the city with my dad in July

Photos of Victoria

I’ve been twice to Victoria: one time alone to go bouldering and to go the museum, and another time with Freddie to do some sightseeing

Vancouver Aquarium

I’ve been to Vancouver Aquarium on May 18th: I spend a night in the city at Debbie’s place. It was a nice trip!

The Butchart Gardens

Last Friday I went to ‘Butchart Gardens’ in Victoria. It was so pretty! Because it was spring all the flowers were just coming out and the trees bloomed. The park was huge with a restaurant, a few cafes and many different types of gardens, like the Rose Garden, Sunken Garden or the Italian Garden. I think I preferred the Japanese Garden, which had beautiful coloured plants and trees, red bridges and little creeks. I got the whole day here so I spend almost six hours in the park with walking around, taking pictures, and working on my blogs in the cafe!

Pictures of the roadtrip with Nuria and Lea :)

Photos of Saanich (Vancouver Island)

Here I’ll post the pictures I took from places I’ve been in my spare time, like Sidney, the beautiful beaches, the hikes, etc. Saanich is a region in Vancouver Island (including Victoria and the farm), with good public transport.

Photos of the second address

Some photos of Glamorgan Farm. The farm was built in 1885 and used to be 600 acres! Now there are 9 acres left, which is still super big!!

Photos of Nanaimo and Duncan

I’ve been two times to Nanaimo: one time I went climbing in Romper Room, the second time I got there for a day trip with Tanne. I’ve been to Duncan because I had a lot of transfer time between my buses here. I didn’t plan out to end up here, but it was a nice place :)

Camping on Ruxton Island

Some pictures of our adventure on Ruxton Island :)

Here are some pictures of the farm/property on the first address at Gabriola Island: it’s a large terrain!

The journey to the first address

Here are a few pictures of the journey to the first address: the plane, the ferry, the students room where I slept first night, and other things I mentioned in my first blog.
